I trace your face

Make shapes

Make shift emotions

Rolling in sheets in insecurities

You’re all I want to see

But I see

Satan

Sorcery

Calling me

Barely

Call it

An apology

When I say sorry

God, you know what I mean

You created me

Tears so long,

I call it a lake for lovers.

Cries so loud,

Wolves at a new moon.

Echoes through mountains,

Voices heard,

But never found,

Only sounds.

Face to face with Satan,

Just when I thought I’d escaped.

Tell my mind it doesn’t matter,

Body ends on a platter.

The sea sinks into itself,

Ocean waves divide into lanes.

Thinking of ways to stay sane.

I now only know me through memory,

Faded but I call it therapy

Jaded in clinging to sanity.
