with Peak Cymru and Aurora Trinity Collective
In 2025, ArcadeCampfa, Aurora Trinity Collective and Peak Cymru came together to stage a series of walks and creative workshops in Abergavenny, focused around Peak’s reading room and studio space on Platfform 2. Risograph Residency 2024 - 25
Mez Kerr Jones
During this residency, Mez will explore the history and power of poster-making as a tool for community voice and social change. Reflecting on Cardiff’s landscapes and narratives, the project will intertwine drawing, alternative pedagogies, and place-based knowledge.
Originally from Cardiff, Mez now works in South London, where as an artist she explores themes of identity, place, and materiality through site-responsive work. Her multidisciplinary practice spans sculpture, installation, moving image, photography, ceramics, and drawing, along with teaching, site-specific explorations, and participatory projects.

Library Residency 2024
Rebecca Gould
So pleased to say I have financial support from ArcadeCampfa in the form of the library commission to continue my manuscript, an autofiction, Anasyrma /Saint Bryony/THIS TRANSMISSION POINT OF ENTRY INTO BLISS, that I have been working on over the past year.
The following is an excerpt from it:
‘Bryony waits for the bus to work, a job that requires all black clothing. She is wearing the glossy burgundy loafers that she bought on eBay. Her 100 percent eBay seller rating gives her a pious sense of self satisfaction and importance within a society that barely sees her. The shoes give clues as to what scale of poverty you are on, so it is important for her mental well being to have shoes beyond her status - so that she feels less vulnerable to the lowered gaze of those working above her.
Bryony gets a McDonald’s breakfast on the corner next to the gallery, it is the equivalent to half an hours pay so its worth has to be considered a luxury of sorts. The meal includes orange juice, a hash brown, an egg and sausage muffin, and the double espresso as an add-on. She sits in because it’s quiet and clean, these cafes are stand in community centres but with affordable commerce at the centre. From here she walks 50 paces to the gallery. Bryony is cos playing as a professional in the city, barely surviving on housing benefit, working and child tax credits, to stand for hours opening a door or operating a lift.’
